Coming soon
For iPhone and iPad
When can I get the app?
Not yet. It is not on the App Store, and this website has no download link. Coming soon is text, not a button.
The app is for iPhone and iPad, on iOS 17 or later and iPadOS 17 or later. There is no Mac app.
Contact
There is no form on this website. The link opens in your own email program. Do not send items from your vault.
What can I keep?
Photos, videos, files, documents, and website links you type.
How do I add photos and videos?
Photos & Videos uses the system photo picker. Browse Photos is the browser in the app. Its filters are your library, Library + Hidden, and Hidden only.
You can import from the iOS Hidden album. iOS asks for Face ID before it shows that album. The Hidden album is not a folder inside the app.
The app does not include a camera, and it does not include a share extension. You add items in the app.
Do originals stay where they were?
Yes. Adding an item copies it. The original stays in Photos or in Files.
How do website links work?
You type the address. If you leave the scheme off, the app adds it. The app does not make a link preview and does not fetch the page.
Open in browser opens the link outside the app.
Where are items kept?
Items you keep are stored encrypted on your device.
How many items can I add?
Up to 20 items, unlimited with Repository Pro (one-time purchase)
How do backups work?
You create a backup yourself. The app writes a .vaultbackup file and you choose where to save it. You restore by choosing that file.
Creating and restoring a backup does not require Repository Pro. There is no automatic backup and no iCloud sync.
The app does not sync the vault through iCloud. A backup of the device, including an iCloud backup of the device, does not include the vault.
How does the app open?
With Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode. You can add an optional app passphrase, an authenticator step, and recovery steps.
There is no account and no sign-in.
What happens if I share or export?
Sharing or exporting creates a copy outside the vault. The action in the app is a copy, not a removal of the item you kept.
For a photo or video, long-press and choose Share a copy. The app shows a warning first, then the system share sheet. Social posting targets are not included. A copy saved to Photos uses the separate save permission.
For another kind of item, open Details and choose Export a copy, then pick a place for the copy.
Does the app use the network?
The app has no analytics, no crash-reporting SDK, no tracking, and no backend. It also has no account and no sign-in.
Buying or restoring Repository Pro uses Apple StoreKit, and StoreKit uses the network. Opening a website link uses your browser, outside the app. The app does not fetch link previews.
Which Photos permissions are used?
Photo library access is optional. It is for browsing your library and copying the photos and videos you choose, including the Hidden album filters.
Saving a copy to Photos uses a separate optional permission. Photos & Videos uses the system photo picker.
Can a message here bring my items back?
No. There is no account and no backend. Mail to the contact address cannot fetch items from a device. Keep the backup file you saved, and keep whatever recovery steps you turned on.
