For iPhone and iPad
01 / Photos and video
Keep your media together.
A dedicated place for photos and videos you choose to keep.
Photos & Videos opens the system photo picker. Browse Photos opens a browser in the app, with filters for your library, for Library + Hidden, and for Hidden only.
You can import from the iOS Hidden album. iOS asks for Face ID before it shows that album. The Hidden album is part of Photos, not a hidden folder in the app.
Adding a photo or video copies it into the app. The original stays in Photos.
Photo library access is optional. It is used when you browse your library and copy the photos and videos you choose. Saving a copy to Photos uses a separate optional permission.
Photos and videos can be opened in the app. The app does not include a camera.
02 / Documents and links
More than a photo vault.
Keep documents, files and website links alongside your media.
Files & Documents lets you choose files from your device, including more than one file. The original stays in Files.
A website link is an address you type. If you leave the scheme off, the app adds it. The app does not fetch a preview of the page.
Open in browser opens that link outside the app, in your browser.
03 / On your device
On your device.
Your files stay stored encrypted on your device.
The vault is excluded from device backups and from iCloud backups. Those backups do not include the vault.
You can create a backup in the app and save the .vaultbackup file where you choose. You can restore from that file. Creating and restoring a backup does not require Repository Pro.
There is no automatic backup, and the app does not sync the vault through iCloud.
04 / Opening the app
Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode.
The app opens with Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode. You can add an optional app passphrase, an authenticator step, and recovery steps.
There is no account and no sign-in.
05 / Sharing and export
A copy can leave the vault.
Sharing or exporting creates a copy outside the vault. The action in the app is a copy, not a removal of the item you kept.
For a photo or video, a long-press offers Share a copy. The app shows a warning first, then the system share sheet. Social posting targets are not included.
For a file, a document, or a link, Details offers Export a copy, and you choose where the copy goes.
06 / Platform
iPhone and iPad.
One app for iPhone and iPad, on iOS 17 or later and iPadOS 17 or later. There is no Mac app.
On iPad the layout is built for the iPad. It resizes with the window, it uses one window, and it handles a keyboard and a pointer.
07 / Network
Where a connection is used.
The app has no analytics, no crash-reporting SDK, no tracking, and no backend.
Buying or restoring Repository Pro uses Apple StoreKit, and StoreKit uses the network. Opening a website link uses your browser, outside the app. The app does not fetch link previews.
